Cameroon coach Volker Finke refused to blame the difficult weather conditions in Natal for their defeat to Mexico on Friday afternoon, with both sides equally affected by the constant down pour during their match.
The German also indicated that he felt his side could have secured victory against La Verde, but failed to mention that the Indomitable Lions were lucky to have two perfectly good goals disallowed.
“The conditions are the same for both teams so we can’t complain about the weather,” Finke told the Press conference.
“The pitch itself wasn’t too bad. It’s a pity we didn’t win but both teams had balanced chances.
“We have five days to recover. We will analyse this together because the match against Croatia is very important if we want to stay alive.”
