The debate on the remuneration of the German coach, who signed his contract at the head of the Cameroon football national team in June 2013, has always been kept out of the public.
Two months before the end of his contract, local media sources have revealed that the German technician receives a monthly salary of 18,368,000 FCFA after taxation.
Volker Finke also benefits from a wide range of issues including payment of travel expenses as part of his oversight and monitoring missions of the players living abroad, an official residence and payment of match bonuses.
The amounts were fixed by the Minister of Sports and FECAFOOT. He is also entitled to a company car, and once a year a two airline tickets round trip for him and his wife in Business Class to fly home to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Pressure is already mounting in some government circles for his contract not to be renewed this coming May 24th.
