The 25-year-old France international is the Wolves' fourth signing of the winter transfer window, following the arrival of Riechedly Bazoer from AFC Ajax, Yunus Malli of 1. FSV Mainz 05 and Victor Osimhen from the Ultimate Strikers Academy.

"He's a very good and interesting player," Wolfsburg head coach Valerien Ismael said of Ntep. "With Paul-Georges we've significantly bolstered our quality on the wings. He's incredibly quick, technically well-versed and boasts an enormous amount of potential despite still being quite young. With him on board we've become more flexible in a tactical sense and will be harder to anticipate in the final third."

Ntep made his professional debut with AJ Auxerre, before moving to Stade Rennais in January 2014. The Cameroon-born winger, who has two senior international caps for France, registered 18 goals and 15 assists in all competitions for the club.

Ntep has already linked up with his new Wolfsburg team-mates at their winter training camp in La Manga, Spain, ahead of their mid-season friendly against FC Erzgebirge Aue on 10 January.

The Wolves, currently three points above the relegation zone in 13th, resume their Bundesliga campaign at home to Hamburger SV on 21 January.
