Joseph Antoine Bell and other flunked candidates meet Owona

As expected, the five candidates for President of the Cameroon Football Federation whose applications were rejected for various reasons last Thursday, met Joseph Owona, President and Standards Committee the Electoral Commission to FECAFOOT on Monday night at the headquarters of FECAFOOT in Yaounde.

Conclusions or resolutions taken during the meeting were not made public. The Department of Communication of FECAFOOT was limited to state that "The five individuals whose applications were deemed ineligible by the electoral commission of FECAFOOT all responded to the invitation of Pr. Joseph OWONA.

After about an hour of exchange, the various candidates for the nomination were divided to refrain from making any statements to the press.

Reached by phone by Cameroon-Info.Net, Atah Robert, Frédéric Nyongha Robert Pene, Joseph Antoine Bell and Mebande Brigitte stressed what seems like the slogan: Motus and stitched mouth. "Do not insist please. You know I can not hide anything from you. When the time is indicated, I'll tell you," responded one of the candidates who flunked but finally agrees to trust the expected gesture from the side of the Government.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission exceptionally specifies a different period which runs until Wednesday, November 26, 2014 to candidates rejected and who are asked to go to complete each his list. "If we could not build a list from the deadline, it is not in months that we will. When I go to the delegates, everyone asks me for five million FCFA. Where do you think I will take the money from? Thus, under these conditions, it is impossible to make a complete list," says a flunked candidate.

For the elective General Assembly of Fécafoot, Saturday 29 November, Tombi A Roko Sidiki is so far the only possible successor of Mohammed Iya as President of FECAFOOT.
