Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes that former Liverpool forward Luis Suarez can be FC Barcelona’s next Samuel Eto’o.
The Frenchman discussed how the Uruguayan gets the best out of his teammates, saying that it reminds him of when he teamed-up with former Barcelona star, Eto’o – adding that he is the perfect number nine for the Spanish giants.
“In my Barca team we had that with me and Samuel Eto'o,” he told Sky Sports.
“For me, he is a No. 9 I like to see.
“He goes into the channel, he will hold the ball at times.”
Henry touched on Suarez’s performance against Paris Saint-Germain, adding that that the 28-year-old forward is a clever player who always wants to get behind defenders.
“For the first goal he went into the channel, held it, pure strength. The second one, he drops, plays a one-two and goes behind.
“He's always available.
“He's always looking to go behind and they now have a proper No. 9."
Eto’o scored 129 times for Barcelona in 198 appearances, assisting 36 goals for his former teammates.
Suarez has now netted 18 times for the Luis Enrique’s side, assisting a further 15 times, and has started to show the lethal form that he was in at Liverpool last season.
