Lazio’s search for a new defender has moved to Marseille for Cameroon international Nicolas N’Koulou.

Calciomercato.it claims that the 25-year-old is the latest January transfer target to replace injured Stefan de Vrij.

He will be out of contract in June and looks set to reject a renewal.

It’s believed Olympique Marseille want €3.5m for the player, whereas Lazio would rather pay half that sum.

Despite only being 25, N’Koulou is a Cameroon veteran with 68 caps.
