N’Jie set to join Marseille on loan despite injury

Cameroon forward Clinton N’Jie looks likely to join Olympique Marseille on loan from Tottenham Hotspur despite suffering a calf injury.

The 22-year-old, who signed a five-year deal with Spurs last year, completed a medical with OM over the weekend and is currently waiting to renew his working visa in France, according to Sky Sports.

N’Jie was not named in Tottenham’s touring party for their preseason camp in Australia and this is down to a calf injury he has suffered which will sideline him for 10 days. However, it will not affect his transfer to Marseille.

The delay in N’Jie’s loan move has affected Spurs in another way, with the £10.8miliion transfer of winger George Kevin N'Koudou from Marseille held up until the Cameroonian’s status is sorted. Both moves are expected to go ahead without any further complications.
