Christians raise funds for the extension of Eglise Espérance

A special worship session was held for this purpose on Sunday in Yaounde in the presence of the personal representative of the head of State.

The Minister of labour and social security Grégoire Owona represented the head of State yesterday in Yaounde at the special worship of fundraising for the launch of the work of extension and embellishment of the Eglise Espérance in Yaoundé, local Church of the Union of Baptist churches of Cameroon (U.E.B.C.). The worship took place in the presence of several personalities, including Laurent Esso, Minister of State, Minister of Justice, keeper of the seals.

The funds raised yesterday are intended for the laying of the first stone and at the start of the expansion work, announced the President of the Commission of the great works of the Church.

At the end of the Sunday offering, the pastor of Eglise Espérance in Yaoundé, the Reverend Dr. Pierre Nsecke, mentioned the assistance received from the head of State's representative.

During the worship, the model of the extension project, phase I, paraded on several screens in the walls of the Church, showing the net difference between the current situation of the Church in its environment and the final draft of complex development. The amount of the work amounts to 150 million CFA.
