Dr. Rudolf Banglis Webuin Ordained

The solemn ordination service took place on Sunday, January 12, 2014, in Yaounde.

Faith Baptist Church, Anguissa, Yaounde, now has a new titled figure in the church. He is the Rev. Dr. Rudolf Banglis Webuin. His ordination took place on Sunday, January 12, 14, in the church premises in Yaounde.

In his sermon, Pastor Buba Godlove of Prospect Baptist Church, Ominisport, Yaounde, said ordination is a challenge to be an apostle after God's heart. Drawing from the book of 1 Peter 5:1-4, Pastor Buba Godlove said as a minister of God, the chief concern of Pastor Banglis is to feed the flock of God. This, according to him, implies leading, preaching and counselling. He regretted the fact that some men of God have gone into other activities and no longer have time for the flock of God.

He said Dr Banglis has always been a minister after God's heart and that is why the congregation chose him as their pastor. As such, he has to do all to be more committed to God's work. He reminded members of the church that no matter their ages and positions, they should give the pastor the full respect and support he deserves.

After a satisfactory result at the Ordination Council that entailed putting forth and defending his doctrinal statement, Dr Pastor Rudolf Banglis was adjudged eligible for ordination. During the solemn ordination, Rev. Dr. Charlemagne Nditemeh, Field Pastor of the Yaounde Conference of CBC Churches, gave him the challenge to stand for the truth because the church is out to speak the truth, no matter what. He called on the Christians to follow the leadership of the pastor because without it, his ministry may tumble.

In the laying on of hands, ordained ministers prayed that God would grant Rev. Dr Rudolf Banglis the grace to render services to the congregation so that people will be drawn to Him and that His name will reign forever. Rev. Dr. Rudolf Banglis Webuin is holder of a Master's degree in Law from the University of Yaounde I, Soa. He then proceeded to read Theology at Nigerian Baptist Seminary, Ogbomosho, Osun State, where he did a Master's and PhD degrees.

He holds a PhD in Hebrew and is an Old Testament lecturer. He has been Senior Pastor of Faith Baptist Church, Anguissa, Yaounde, for four years now. Rev. Dr. Banglis hails from Nwa in Donga Mantung Division, North West Region. He is the first child of a polygamous home. He is married and father of three children.
