Imams in CMR pray for President Biya

The prayer this Friday, October 31, 2014 at the Grand Mosque in Briqueterie in Yaoundé brought together Imams from the four corners of Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. During their prayer, they asked Allah to give the leader of the Cameroonian State the wisdom required to preserve peace, security and stability in Cameroon.

The prayer of this Friday, October 31, 2014 was special at the Grand Mosque in Briqueterie, the oldest in the capital city of Cameroon, Yaoundé.

These prayers were said for the president of the Republic of Cameroon who they deem as doing his best to forestall peace, security and stability in the country. "The community of imams in Cameroon were first of all citizens before being imams and they must contribute to peace, stability and consolidation.

The president of the Republic was represented at this celebration by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister delegate in the Presidency responsible for Relations with the assemblies, Ahmadou Ali whose wife was recently released by the elements of the Islamist sect Boko Haram after several months in captivity.

The Governor of the Centre, Joseph Otto Wilson was also present at the Grand Mosque, as well as several local elected officials, representatives of other religious denominations and a college of imams from the four corners of Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.
