With inspiration from Romans 6:19- 23 , the Synod Clerk first paid glowing tribute to the late Reverend Nkweti George former Moderator’s Representative NWR, who passed on to eternity a few days before the induction service Reflecting on the theme, “when we relate our services in Christ we see ourselves as slaves in Christ the master.”
The Lord’s servant reminded the faithful to be slaves in Christ and not slaves in sin while charging the new Presbytery Leader for Tubah Boyo to be a slave for Christ in the by making sure he fulfils his mission and goals in the Presbytery and one of such he said was the new baby school of PCC in the Presbytery PCSS Akou Bambili, consolidating efforts towards its growth to make sure it is one of the positive points of the Presbytery.
Reverend Akalambi was also charged to make efforts towards the reorientation of the minds of Christians, while the Presbyters were invited to rally behind the Chief Shepherd of the Presbytery.
Before his induction the profile of this missionary servant of God as the Synod Clerk described him was presented by the Secretary Committee of the Ministry, the Reverend Professor Anyambod Emmanuel.
Born in 1964 in Konda Njikwa subdivision the Reverend Akalambi after going through stages and programs in education, harvested a number of certificates and prominent amongst them were, a certificate in Rural Society of Arts Stage 1 and 2, GCE Advanced and Ordinary levels, Bachelor in Theology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. The Reverend Akalambi before his current position has served as Parish Pastor of Lebialem, Nsem, Bafut, Bambili, Nitop 1/ Mbomassa and Alabukam in Mezam. Welcoming all to the event the Chairperson of Tubah Elder Fon Patrick like the Vice Chairperson of the Presbytery Elder Ful Philip all promissed to support the newly inducted wholeheartedly whom they said has proven to be a diehard servant of the PCC in speech and action which to them is a testimony that teaching by example edifies Christian spirituality.
On his part the newly inducted expressed gratitude to all for the support and especially to the staffing committee who found him worthy to serve the flock of Tubah Boyo. He did not fail to equally thank his predecessor who started work in the presbytery by laying a solid foundation.
His prayer is that all should collaborate with him for the growth of the Presbytery as the Presbytery has a lot of challenges. Being a Presbytery with many academic institutions he invited all to the rally behind him leaving so much of educational engagements and let all focus on Jesus Christ.
The synod clerk of the PCC while appreciating the humble spirit of the newly inducted prayed that as an independent church all should strive towards contributing their light to surpass challenges faced. One of the challenges, being PCSS Akou Bambili.
He invited Christians of the presbytery and beyond to not only focus on supporting the school through fundraising events but also send their kids to the school.
